What in the word are you saying…?
A man’s stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; from the produce of his lips he shall be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit. ~ Prov. 18:20-21 -NKJV
When we begin to understand just how powerful words are we will not be so quick to speak. The seeds of our words can bring good things or bad things. So we must choose our words carefully. Proverbs 16:24 says "Good word are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones." If our own words have power...then imagine how much power is released when the Word of God is spoken. Just think how powerful the Word of God is in our lives:
God has placed His Word even higher than His name (Ps. 138:2)
God and His Word are one and the same (John 1:1)
God holds all things together by His Word (Hebrews 1:3)
We are born again through His Word (1 Peter 1:23)
Our lives are cleansed by the Word (Ep. 5:26)
The Word is a true guide to us in every situation we find ourselves in (Ps. 119:105)
Through the Word we gain victory over sin (Ps. 119:11)
The Word is a seed that we can sow into our lives in order to live the way God desires us to (Mark 4:14-20)
We are to be doers of the Word and not just hearer only (James 1:22)
Faith comes only by the Word (Rom. 10:17)
We are saved and delivered through the Word (Rom. 10:8-10)
God watches over His Word to promises to perform it in our lives (Jer. 1:12, Lam.2:17)
Get in the Word everyday. Speak it, live it and watch the direction of your life stay on course with God’s will. Be a light in every place you go.
